The Town Hall Meeting: Art, Soil and Community took place at Ars Electronica 2025, bringing together artists, curators, and project partners to reflect on the intersections between art, agriculture, and community.
The gathering created a space for exchange and dialogue, highlighting the diverse perspectives and practices that emerge when artistic research engages with rural knowledge and ecological transition.
The session featured contributions from Nicoletta Tranquillo (IT), Silvia Girardello (IT), Fara Peluso (IT/DE), Santiago Morilla (ES), Mali Weil (IT), Emma Harris (DK), and Helena Pérez Guerra (ES), who shared their experiences of working with farmers, scientists, and local communities across Italy and Spain.
Through an open and participatory conversation, the meeting explored artistic methodologies, rural knowledge, ecological transition, and community rituals, while inviting attendees to take part in dialogue and expand a growing network of practitioners and change-makers.
